Spencer Boyd, who has made a career out of putting together sponsorship announcements with new companies diving into the world of NASCAR, announced another new partner on Thursday — Fort Worth Stockyards Whiskey & Wine.

As part of the partnership, the Fort Worth Stockyards’ win will serve as the primary sponsor of Boyd and the No. 12 Young’s Motorsports team for the April 1st NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway.

The relationship between Boyd and Fort Worth Stockyards Whiskey and Wine was sparked at a National Finals Rodeo (NFR) event.

“Everything happens for a reason. We met Spencer through a mutual friend and got to know him better at the NFR,” JoLene St. Pierre-Courtney, co-founder of Fort Worth Stockyards Whiskey & Wine said. “We’ve now hunted together and shared a love of our wine. We are looking for the world to try our wine and feel NASCAR has a great platform to help us do that.”

For Boyd, racing in Texas and being partnered with companies from Texas just makes him comfortable.

“I sometimes consider Texas as my second home,” Boyd said in a team release. “The family of Young’s Motorsports is from Midland, TX. My girlfriend is from Texas. I hunt every year in Texas and have lots of close friends out there. It’s only fitting that my wine sponsor is from one of the fastest-growing wine destinations in the US, Texas.”

The truck’s paint scheme, which was designed by Michael Miceli at RaceArtist.com, features a rustic cream base color with a neck of a bottle of wine on the sides. The rich red wine pouring from the neck of the bottle flows across the back half of the sides of the truck.

Boyd, a native of Creve Coeur, Missouri, has made 88 career starts in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competition. The 27-year-old has one career win, which came at Talladega Superspeedway in the fall of 2019.

The racer has been tied at the hip with the Young’s Motorsports organization, which he has driven for in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series since the 2019 season-opener.
