Layne Riggs came out on top of a spirited late-race battle for the win with Kaden Honeycutt, his rival for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship, in Friday night’s Ecosave 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

As Riggs got to the inside of Honeycutt off of Turn 4 with seven laps remaining, Honeycutt would slap the outside wall.

Riggs would go on to score his seventh win of the season by a margin of victory of 0.596 seconds over Christian Eckes, who would scoot past Honeycutt for the runner-up spot.

Honeycutt would finish third, ahead of Bayley Currey and Chandler Smith.
