After being sidelined due to a medical issue at Las Vegas, NASCAR Gander RV and Outdoors Truck Series driver Natalie Decker has been cleared to return to racing competition.

Decker made the announcement on Saturday during the NASCAR Xfinity Series broadcast via social media.

She will return to her Niece Motorsport Silverado at Texas Motor Speedway on October 25th for the SpeedyCash.com 400, as well as the NASCAR Hall of Fame 200 at Martinsville in November.

Moments before the Truck Series race in Las Vegas, Decker was taken to the infield care center after not feeling well.Decker later revealed that she had abnormally high blood pressure as well as an increased heart rate, which N ASCAR deemed was not safe to race, thus barring her from competing.

Due to the fact that the truck had passed inspection, and was grided, the truck could not compete due to losing their driver. NASCAR credited the No. 44 entry with a last place finish in Las Vegas.

After returning home and consulting doctors, Decker said that “All those scary things are ruled out.” She has not made it publicly known what caused the spiked blood pressure and heart rate.

In her part-time season with Niece Motorsport, the 23 year-old has scored only one top-5 and one top-10 in 11 starts. Her 5th place finish at Daytona in February is her best finish of the season, and her best finish in her young Truck Series career.
