Bless you, Reaume Brothers Racing and, now, Hill Motorsports. As NASCAR is in the midst of its Olympics break, we are all starved for anything NASCAR-related to talk about. The two NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series teams have answered the call by joining forces to conduct a “NASCAR-style” version of the Olympic Games.
The opening round of the Reaume Brothers Racing vs Hill Motorsports competition dropped via social media on Thursday, and boy was the opening game a doozy.
In the video, the No. 56 Hill Motorsports team encroached on the Reaume Brothers Racing campus in Mooresville, the four-man team carried its pit road sign as they approached. After a brief faceoff, which included a shove from Reaume Brothers Racing part-time driver and full-time team owner Josh Reaume onto Hill Motorsports owner/driver Timmy Hill, the two teams separated and prepared the playing field for a tire stack relay race.

Each team was given a set of four Goodyear racing tires stacked up on a tire dolly, and they were placed onto the “course” in alternate starting spots. The first team to successfully trade off the dolly to four team members — and complete four laps in the process — would be named the winner.
At the half-lap mark, the race was a virtual dead heat. But as the two crew members who kicked off the race rounded the final turn on the opening lap, the Reaume Brothers Racing dolly suffered a massive failure… the right side wheel broke.
After taking a moment to assess the situation, the team member discovered the dolly was still usable, but the wheel was all sorts of jacked up, which certainly hampered the Reaume team.
With the Hill Motorsports team gapping the competition, Amir Alexander, the third man to wheel the dolly for the Reaume team, suffered an issue in the opening turn of his lap. The problems for Alexander wouldn’t end there as the entire stack of tires flew off in the final turn.
As the Reaume team suffered a plethora of issues on their run, Hill Motorsports was squeaky clean, and Timmy Hill wheeled the dolly to a victory.
At the end of the video, the scoreboard reveals Hill Motorsports with a 1 to 0 lead over Reaume Brothers Racing. But the question is; what will the next game be? We’ll all find out together.
How did we get here?
Before Hill Motorsports stepped up to the plate to challenge Reaume Brothers Racing, the RBR team was set to hold a nine-competition event over nine days that was dubbed the “RBR Olympics”.
After lighting their “caldron” with a blow torch, the games were set to begin.

As a person who loved watching The Office back in the mid-2000s, this video immediately had me thinking about the Olympics episode where Jim, Pam, and everyone in the office held an “Office-style” Olympics while regional manager Michael Scott and assistant to the regional manager Dwight Schrute were out on a business meeting.
To be honest, I was hopeful we’d see the RBR team participate in a good old game of “Flonkerton.” For those unfamiliar with The Office (somehow) here are the highlights from The Office Olympics:
While Flonkerton would not be on the agenda for the RBR Olympics, the opening event was called “Round and Round”, and was a pretty cool event in its own right. The event pitted nine RBR Racing team members against each other in a test to see who could turn 15 rounds of wedge with a wedge wrench the fastest.
Pedro Lopez, a crew chief for the team, took home the top spot in the event ahead of Amir Alexander, who actually has a desk job within the organization. But don’t let him fool you, Alexander is seen doing a bevy of tasks around the race track for the team, so, he’s a more than qualified contestant.
Day 1 of RBR Olympics saw surprises, a hiccup costing the podium, and a dominating performance by Pedro.

Round 2 of the RBR Olympics brought us the Rear Spring Shot Put. And just like the shot put in track and field, the objective was to toss a rear spring as far as possible from a shot put stance. Lopez once again took the top spot, and it was looking like he would potentially run the table in the RBR Olympics.

But then, Timmy Hill made a call to Josh Reaume and issued a challenge to Reaume Brothers Racing.
“Hey Josh, I’m watching your Olympics social media videos. I think we can beat you. I think we can take you on,” Hill stated. “The Hill guys want in.”
Reaume accepted the challenge and invited Hill and his team to their new shop to battle it out.
You really thought that other teams wouldn’t feel the competitive itch that we are? ?#WeAreRBR | #NASCAR | #FordPerformance | #Olympics pic.twitter.com/JXuGEPwIko

And that is how we are where we are now. Thank you to Reaume Brothers Racing for sparking the flame of competition for these Olympic games, and an additional thanks are in order for Hill Motorsports stepping up to compete against RBR.
