Keith McGee will race in Friday’s Love’s RV Stops 225 at Talladega Superspeedway.

McGee was one of two drivers who failed to make the show, driving the No. 02 NuggetTrap.com Ford F-150, an entry registered under Young’s Motorsports but prepared by Reaume Brothers Racing.

Young’s Motorsports, along with McGee and Reaume Brothers Racing, have since struck a deal with FDNY Racing that will see the 43-year-old driver compete in the No. 28 Chevrolet Silverado, with his sponsor, NuggetTrap.com, as a primary sponsor.

Bryan Dauzat, who typically pilots the FDNY Racing entry when the team competes in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, posted the 24th-quickest time in qualifying, locking the part-time organization into the field.

Talladega Superspeedway is the site of McGee’s career-best result in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, finishing 10th in the 2021 edition of the event, driving the No. 41 for Cram Racing Enterprises.

Friday’s Love’s RV Stops 225 will mark the 10th NASCAR Truck Series start of 2024 for McGee, an Alaska native, all of which have previously come for Reaume Brothers Racing, either in the No. 22 or No. 27.

FDNY Racing has attempted to qualify for three NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events with its No. 28 Chevrolet Silverado this season, making events at Daytona and Nashville. A ninth-place finish in the season-opener at Daytona was the second top-10 in the team’s history.
