Christian Eckes flat-out dominated Friday’s Truck Series race at Martinsville, but his victory did not come without some controversy attached to it.

Late race contact between Eckes and Taylor Gray took Gray out of championship contention and caused a heated argument in victory lane on the frontstretch after the conclusion of the race.

After the race, Eckes’ race-winning No. 19 Gates Hydraulics Chevrolet Silverado underwent post-race inspection, where the truck was ultimately given a passing grade. After clearing post-race inspection, NASCAR declared Eckes and his team McAnally Hilgemann Racing the official winners of the race.

No other issues were detected in post-race inspection, which means all results and standings following Saturday’s race are now considered official.

The Championship Four of Eckes, Grant Enfinger, Corey Heim, and Ty Majeski is now officially set.
