After being close in his last two attempts, Corey Heim is finally a polesitter in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, capturing the pole position for Saturday’s Toyota 200 at WWT Raceway.

The 19-year-old put his No. 51 JBL Toyota Tundra TRD Pro at the top of the speed charts in Friday’s single-truck qualifying session with a time of 32.554 seconds (138.232mph), to secure his first career pole and the fifth of the season for Kyle Busch Motorsports.

Zane Smith – pulling an unscheduled double-duty for Front Row Motorsports and RFK Racing after Chris Buescher tested positive for COVID-19 — will start alongside Heim on the front row.

Stewart Friesen will start in third place, with Chandler Smith, and Christian Eckes rounding out the top-five starters. John Hunter Nemechek, Colby Howard (career-best), Ty Majeski, Taylor Gray (career-best), and Grant Enfinger completed the top-10.

Other notables include Matt Crafton (11th), Carson Hocevar (12th), Ben Rhodes (15th), Johnny Sauter (18th), Rajah Caruth (19th, series debut), Jake Garcia (21st, series debut), and Hailie Deegan (26th).

With 39 trucks entered for Saturday’s event at World Wide Technology Raceway, Matt Mills (No. 20), Justin Carroll (No. 90), and Blake Lothian (No. 43) were sent home prior to the green flag.
