Continuing to build its team for 2021, TrackHouse has made a significant hire in who will call the shots for 2016 NASCAR Xfinity Series champion Daniel Suarez.

Travis Mack, one of the newest crew chiefs to the sport, will move to the Cup Series in 2021, sitting atop the pit box for TrackHouse’s No. 99 Camaro with Suarez.

Mack has spent the past three seasons with Michael Annett in the Xfinity Series, helping the veteran driver get his first career win in 2019 at the season opener in Daytona.

This past season, Mack helped Annett qualify for the NASCAR Playoffs with 22 top-10 finishes, and four top-5 finishes, culminating to a ninth place finish in the standings.

The Kentucky native is no stranger to working with Chevrolet teams.

Mack previous spent time working as a shock specialist and front end mechanic with Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson at Hendrick Motorsports.

After the 2012 season, Mack moved to JR Motorsports where he served as car chief for Regan Smith and Chase Elliott, where he oversaw the same car that took Elliott to his first NASCAR Xfinity Series championship.

Mack spent a brief period of time as crew chief in the Cup Series before, working with Dale Earnhardt Jr. for a handful of races, as well as Kasey Kahne’s final season in 2018 at Leavine Family Racing. He moved back to JRM in 2018 to begin overseeing the No. 1 team’s performance.
