Greg Biffle will return to NY Racing’s No. 44 Chevrolet Camaro this week to make his third NASCAR Cup Series start of the season in the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, an anonymous source with knowledge of the situation has disclosed to TobyChristie.com.

Biffle, 52, finished 36th in the season-opening Daytona 500 and 34th at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the No. 44 team after mechanical issues popped up in both races.

The Washington-native has made 512-career NASCAR Cup Series starts, 19 of them resulting in victories.

Biffle has made 22 starts in NASCAR Cup Series competition at Atlanta Motor Speedway through his career. Biffle’s career-best finish at AMS is a third-place effort back in 2005, but the track will be a different beast this weekend after an offseason repaving and reconfiguration has shifted the track to what many will believe will mimic superspeedway racing.

Biffle left NASCAR competition following the 2016 season, but after three years away Biffle returned to NASCAR Camping World Truck Series competition in 2019, scoring a win at Texas Motor Speedway for Kyle Busch Motorsports. Biffle made an additional Truck Series start for GMS Racing at Darlington in 2020, a race which ended in a 19th-place result.
