Ryan Ellis, who has put in some eye-opening performances in a part-time effort with Alpha Prime Racing this season, will have a new primary sponsorship partner, Costa Oil, when he races for the organization at Dover Motor Speedway on April 30th.

The company, which features a wide range of automotive motor oils, oil filters and additives and is known for their 10-minute oil change, will have their bold black, white and gold colors on Ellis’ No. 45 Chevrolet Camaro.

For Ellis, the partnership begun after getting to know Costa Kapothanasis, the owner and founder of Costa Oil.

“Costa and I have gotten to know each other over the last couple of months or so and I have so much respect for the business that he’s built, much like many of my other partners. I always love learning about the hard work and grind that it takes for these types of entrepreneurs to succeed – I always try to find something that I can apply to my own career. I’m really proud that I’m able to represent COSTA OIL™ in what is very much a home race for both of us. I grew up within two hours of Dover and grew up going to a lot of races there. It’s a track that requires hustle to find speed and really tests drivers and equipment.”

The paint scheme was designed by Ryan Pistana.

Kapothansis, explains that he and his company are just as excited as Ellis to be the primary sponsor on the No. 45 car.

“We are super excited for the opportunity to work with Ryan and Alpha Prime Racing,” Kapothanasis said. “Specialty oil products go hand in hand with the performance automotive world and for us to be a part of that is very intriguing for us. Having our first event with Alpha Prime Racing and Ryan Ellis at Dover is something that we could not have imagined. Being so close to our headquarters in Hanover, Pa where there is so much history and a sense of community; being at the Monster Mile means a lot to us here at COSTA OIL™. We are also excited to grow our partnership with Alpha Prime Racing and Ryan Ellis within NASCAR and the racing community as a whole.”

Ellis, 31, has an average finish of 14.5 in two starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series this season. His best finish is a 13th at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and he and the Alpha Prime team have showed incredible strength in their two races together.
