Ross Chastain Uses Strategy to Win Stage 2 at Canada

Ross Chastain and his No. 45 Niece Motorsports team opted to go all-in for the Stage 2 win instead of pitting early to set themselves up for an easier path to the overall race win. However, it led to a guaranteed Playoff point and he still has a shot at the extra Playoff points for the overall Stage win as well.

Austin Hill finished the Stage in second, Tyler Ankrum was third, ThorSport teammates Grant Enfinger and Johnny Sauter rounded out the top-five finishers in the Stage.

Matt Crafton ended up sixth, and he was followed by Brett Moffitt — who did pit before the end of the Stage — Alex Tagliani, Ben Rhodes and Harrison Burton.

24 laps remain to see who will be the winner of Sunday’s Chevrolet Silverado 250 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
