Robby Lyons has made his way onto the preliminary entry lists for both NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series events scheduled this weekend at Kansas Speedway. Lyons will drive the No. 97 Chevrolet Silverado for Diversified Motorsports Enterprises and will attempt to complete all 400 miles in the truck this weekend.

According to the preliminary entry lists, Sunwest Construction will provide sponsorship for the effort.

Lyons, 31, has made one NGROTS start in 2020, which also came for DME back at Pocono Raceway a few weeks back. Lyons scored a 20th-place finish in that start.

That finish is actually the best finish to date for the team, which purchased their assets from JJL Motorsports. The team has competed in a total of four NGROTS events out of a possible eight so far in 2020.

Overall, the Florida-native has a career-best finish of 12th in NGROTS competition, which came at Phoenix back in 2017.

Additionally, Lyons has been running part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2020 as well for JD Motorsports. Lyons’ best finish in NXS competition this season is a 17th-place effort, which came in the season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway.
