According to a report from the Daytona Beach News Journal, President of the United States Donald Trump will appear at Sunday’s Daytona 500.

The report cites an email from a spokeswoman from the Daytona Beach International Airport that states, “The president will be here for the Daytona 500. That is all the information I have at this time.”

This comes on the heels of the announcement that Trump’s campaign will serve as sponsor for two NASCAR teams in Daytona this week (one in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and one in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series) through a sponsorship deal with the Patriots PAC of America.

Trump, of course, will not be the first President, or Presidential hopeful to take in a NASCAR race.

Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush all attended at least one NASCAR race while in office, or while campaigning for the Presidency.

Trump is in the midst of his re-election campaign. The 45th President of the United States is seeking a second term. The campaign will conclude with the election in November.
