Noah Gragson has thankfully walked away from an extremely hard impact into the outside wall with 25 laps remaining in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Sparks 300 at Talladega Superspeedway.

Brett Moffitt was battling Gragson for the lead. Jeb Burton made a move to pass Moffitt, and either the air turned Moffitt or Burton made slight contact to spark the crash.

Either way, Moffitt turned right into the right rear corner of Gragson’s car, which sent Gragson head-on into the outside wall. Gragson was then collected by Myatt Snider and then another group of cars further in the pack.

Here is video of the hard impact and huge crash for 14 drivers in the field:

Gragson was noticeably dejected by a really good No. 9 car ending up on the hook.

“[Moffitt] just got turned by [Jeb Burton]. We got it head on and then got cleaned out by [Snider],” Gragson said after leaving the infield care center. “Just a bummer. We had a fast car, but it’s just so different. They changed the package on us for Daytona in the Summer race. The size of the restrictor plate. It made it a lot different drafting, it’s almost like ARCA now.”

In all, 14 cars were involved in this melee, which brought out the red flag with 24 laps left in the event.

The drivers who were in the crash were:

0 – Jeffrey Earnhardt
02 – Brett Moffitt
1 – Josh Berry
2 – Myatt Snider
6 – Ryan Vargas
9 – Noah Gragson
10 – Jeb Burton
17 – Garrett Smithley
22 – Austin Cindric
26 – Santino Ferrucci
74 – CJ McLaughlin
78 – Mason Massey
90 – Caesar Bacarella
99 – JJ Yeley
