Just after 7:00 PM ET, NASCAR officially announced that it would be postponing the 2023 Production Alliance Group 300 at Auto Club Speedway, as a result of persistent inclement weather.
The event, the second of the season, will now take place on Sunday, February 26th at approximately 8:00 PM ET (5:00 PM PT) and will be broadcasted on FS2, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
Should the NASCAR Cup Series Pala Casino 400 run long, the Xfinity Series event will begin following the conclusion of that race.

After rain began to intensify during pace laps for Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Production Alliance Group 300 at Auto Club Speedway, NASCAR announced on the radio that the sanctioning body had lost the race track, meaning there was too much moisture for the race to begin.
As a result, the red flag was displayed and the cars were brought down pit road and stopped. The weather delay continues.

As the NASCAR Xfinity Series field was taking pace laps for the start of the Production Alliance Group 300, sprinkles, which turned to drizzle, started to rain down on the 2-mile Auto Club Speedway.
The cars are still running pace laps around the track, but the green flag is being held off while the drizzle is waited out.

The weather has put a damper on Auto Club Speedway’s final-ever race weekend with the 2-mile configuration of the track in Fontana, California. However, after rain washed out NASCAR Xfinity Series practice and qualifying and NASCAR Cup Series practice and qualifying on Saturday, and snow flurries followed soon after, the weather has finally cleared out.

As a result, track drying has been ongoing at Auto Club Speedway, and the efforts by the grounds crew at the facility are making headway.
According to NASCAR, driver introductions are set for 5:40 pm ET (2:40 pm local time), the command to fire the engines will come at 5:58 pm ET (2:58 pm local time) and the green flag for the Production Alliance Group 300 will be displayed at 6:07 pm ET (3:07 pm local time).

Earlier in the day, it seemed there was NO WAY racing would be taking place at Auto Club Speedway on Saturday afternoon. But credit to NASCAR and the workers at the track for hanging in there, and it looks like we will all be rewarded with a 300-mile NASCAR Xfinity Series race.
Austin Hill, who won the season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway, will lead the field to the green flag on Saturday as he had the best numbers in NASCAR’s metric formula, which sets the field when rain washes out qualifying.
John Hunter Nemechek will start alongside Hill on the front row.
Television coverage of the event will remain on FS1 despite the lengthy weather delay.
