On the Heels of top-10 at Kentucky, Ryan Truex Will Add Another Race to JR Motorsports Schedule

When the 2019 NASCAR Xfinity Series season started, Ryan Truex was expected to compete in four NASCAR Xfinity Series events for JR Motorsports (Phoenix in the spring, Vegas in the fall, the roval and Kansas in the fall).

After a second-place finish in his first start of the season at Phoenix, sponsorship was found for the No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro in the form of the band Florida Georgia Line to run Truex in this past weekend’s Alsco 300 at Kentucky Speedway.

Truex finished a solid eighth this week in Kentucky, and according to Dustin Albino from Frontstretch.com, Truex will see more action for JR Motorsports next weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

“New Hampshire is one of my favorite tracks, so I’m looking forward to that,” Truex told Frontstretch. “[I] almost won the truck race there two years ago. I really want to get a trophy there badly, so that’s one I’ve had circled.”

No word yet on a sponsor for Truex in New Hampshire, but this is awesome news for the younger brother of Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion Martin Truex Jr. This brings his total schedule in 2019 to six races with JR Motorsports.
