Carson Kvapil came out on top on Friday at Martinsville Speedway in a qualifying session dominated by JR Motorsports. The driver of the No. 1 JR Motorsports Chevrolet turned a lap time of 19.855 seconds (95.141 mph) to score the pole position for Saturday’s National Debt Relief 250.
Kvapil was followed on the speed charts by Rajah Caruth and Justin Allgaier, who made it a clean sweep of the top-three spots for JR Motorsports.
Parker Retzlaff and William Sawalich rounded out the top-five fastest qualifiers for Saturday’s race.
