We all knew that Kyle Busch would run some NASCAR Xfinity Series events in 2020, as the driver has said he desires to run in the series at least until he hits 100-career wins in the NXS (Busch currently sits at 96 wins in the Series).

But, when JGR announced three full-time efforts in their No. 18, 19 and 20 entries, many began to wonder where Busch would fit into the equation.

On Thursday, Joe Gibbs Racing officially announced in a press release that they will field a No. 54 Toyota Supra in five events for Busch in the 2020 season.

“I’m excited to have Mars partner with me in the Xfinity Series and have TWIX, Starburst and Combos on my No. 54 Toyota Supra for these NXS races,” said Kyle Busch. “It’s really going to be something to celebrate with Mars brands helping me get to the 100-win mark in the Xfinity Series this season!”

Busch will make his 2020 Xfinity Series debut at Phoenix in March with sponsorship from TWIX Cookies and Creme. He will then run Charlotte in May with TWIX Cookies and Creme on the car as well.

Busch will return at Chicago in June with Starburst Duos on his machine and the brand will return on his car at New Hampshire in July.

Busch’s 2020 NXS schedule will finish up with Combos on the No. 54 for the August event at Watkins Glen.

A release from JGR states that Jacob Canter will serve as crew chief for the No. 54 entry.
