With the return of the NASCAR Xfinity Series, comes the return of Kyle Busch, looking for career win No. 97 on his way to an impressive 100 wins in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

Busch will pilot the No. 54 Toyota Supra for Joe Gibbs Racing when the NASCAR Xfinity Series returns to competition on Tuesday, following a nine-week hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Darlington Raceway marks the second of Busch’s five scheduled Xfinity Series starts of the 2020 season.

Busch piloted the No. 54 in his only Xfinity start this season at Phoenix raceway in March, finishing third to Joe Gibbs Racing teammates Brandon Jones & Harrison Burton, after leading 78 of 200 laps.

Busch was scheduled to run at Chicagoland later on in the season, but the cancellation of all NASCAR events at Chicagoland Speedway left a gap in Busch’s Xfinity Series schedule, which will be filled at Darlington.

Additionally, Busch is scheduled to drive the No. 54 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 25th, with his remaining two races in his five-race tenure in the Xfinity Series scheduled to take place at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and Watkins Glen International, neither of which have been rescheduled by NASCAR at this time.

Per the guidelines revealed by NASCAR on Tuesday, Kyle Busch and the No. 54 Toyota will get first choice of pit stall for Tuesday’s race that will feature no practice or qualifying.
