After a successful 21st-place finish for Bayley Currey in last weekend’s Pennzoil 150 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, sponsor Hy-Vee has agreed to extend its partnership for another six NASCAR Xfinity Series events.

Hy-Vee has become prominent in the motorsports world as of late, with the company’s financial contributions being instrumental in returning the NTT IndyCar Series to Iowa Speedway in July. The company also serves as the anchor partner of Jack Harvey’s No. 45 Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing Honda in the NTT IndyCar Series.

“Hy-Vee’s Chairman and CEO Randy Edeker and Hy-Vee have done so much for INDYCAR racing and Iowa Speedway,” said JD Motorsports Vice President of Sales and Marketing Tony N. Priscaro. “It is great to see all that positive momentum Hy-Vee created in racing carry on to Bayley, JD Motorsports, and NASCAR’s Xfinity Series.”

Hy-Vee will continue to adorn Currey’s No. 4 Chevrolet Camaro in NASCAR Xfinity Series events at Michigan (August 7), Watkins Glen (August 20), Darlington (September 3), Kansas (September 10), Texas (September 24), and Phoenix (November 5).

“To have a big sponsor like Hy-Vee show a commitment to me for six more races means so much to me,” Currey said. “I can’t tell you how rewarding it is to have a company with so many employees select me to proudly wear their logo. I am appreciative of Randy making this happen for me along with the entire team at Hy-Vee.”

After 20 of 33 NASCAR Xfinity Series events this season, Currey sits 21st in series points, recording JD Motorsports’ first top-10 in the second-tier series since November 2020, and only the second of Currey’s career.

Wahlburgers, Redbox Rx, and Vivid Clear Rx – all of which are subsidiaries of the Hy-Vee brand – will also have placement on Currey’s No. 4 Chevrolet Camaro in Saturday’s New Holland 250 at Michigan International Speedway.

This is the third fairly high-profile company to sponsor Bayley Currey and JD Motorsports this season in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, after the team inked multi-race agreements with both Habana Brisa and Alka-Seltzer.
