Cope Family Racing (CFR) will join forces with Stanton Barrett Motorsports (SBM) to field a full-time entry in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series in 2026 under the banner ‘SBM with CFR’.

The organization will field the No. 30 in NASCAR’s second-tier division, beginning at Daytona in February 2026, and will remain part of the Chevrolet family. Additional details, including driver and sponsorship lineups, will come at a later date.

Stanton Barrett, an owner and driver and Stanton Barrett Motorsports, has a long history of competing in NASCAR’s National Series and has been operating a driver development program out of a shop in Denver, North Carolina, that includes series like WRL, TransAm, and HSR.

Barrett has purchased a second race shop in Mooresville, North Carolina, which will be in charge of heading up the team’s NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series program.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to partner with CFR and continue the long history of SBM,” Barrett said. “Derrike has been a staple in the racing industry and someone that I have great respect for. We collectively bring over 70 years as owners and drivers at the highest levels of NASCAR.”

Veteran NASCAR National Series crew chief George Church will serve as the shot-caller for the No. 30 Chevrolet. Church has more than 400 starts as a crew chief across NASCAR’s top-three divisions, and has worked with several drivers throughout his three-decade career in NASCAR.

Church began the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series campaign as the crew chief of the No. 70 Chevrolet for Cope Family Racing, but was replaced after two races by Aedan McHugh.

“Kevin Cope and I are excited about forming this alliance with SBM,” said Derrike Cope, owner of Cope Family Racing. “We have made great strides in acquiring the necessary race cars to be ready for Daytona and the first part of the year, including being reunited with veteran crew chief George Church.”

In 2025, Cope Family Racing (CFR) fielded a full-time entry in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (now the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series), the No. 70, with drivers Leland Honeyman, Thomas Annunziata, and Will Rodgers.

The organization managed to collect a pair of eighth-place finishes on the season with Leland Honeyman, at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway, and ended up 31st in NASCAR Xfinity Series Owner Points at season’s end.

The 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series campaign will begin at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, February 14, at 5:00 PM ET on The CW.
