Chase Briscoe has certainly emerged as the man to beat this year in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Briscoe took the Stage 2 win in Saturday’s Pennzoil 150 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.

Briscoe was strong, but it was a black flag levied at Austin Cindric — the dominant car on the day — for jumping a mid-Stage restart, put Briscoe in the cat-bird seat for the Stage win. Then, a late Stage caution made it where Briscoe needed to rally to the Stage Win, as Ryan Sieg and a few others stayed on the track in an effort to steal the Stage Win.

Briscoe, worked his way back to the lead with ease.

Justin Allgaier finished the Stage in second, while Ryan Sieg, Justin Haley and Michael Annett rounded out the top-five finishers.

Brandon Brown ended up sixth with the staying out strategy and he was followed by Josh Bilicki, Timmy Hill, Myatt Snider and Harrison Burton, who capped off the top-10 finishers.

Cindric is back up to 12th after falling outside the top-25, after his penalty.
