It’s… snowing… in… Las Vegas?? Don’t ask me why, or even how it’s possible, but here we are. I guess since NASCAR has come to town, the insane weather has to come along with it.

The second yellow of Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway came out on Lap 16, as a result of debris from Ryan Sieg’s No. 39 RSS Racing Ford Mustang.

Just a couple of laps later, once NASCAR had given the field one-to-green, precipitation began to fall from the sky, further delaying the restart of the event. However, it didn’t take long for that rain to turn into… snow.

Let’s get something straight though, it’s 52-degrees Fahrenheit in Las Vegas, Nevada right now, so I think it’s safe to say that snow wasn’t on anybody’s radar – quite literally.

Eventually, the field would be brought to pit road and subsequently put under the red flag, as the wintry mix continued for the next 15 to 20 minutes, before subsiding, allowing the track to be dried and the field to anticipate going back green.

Many people on-site at Las Vegas Motor Speedway were confused about the snow (as they should be):
