Former NASCAR driver Blake Koch, has been selected as a member of the Fall 2021 class of Forbes’ “Next 1000”. The list, which highlights hard-working small businesses and entrepreneurs in America, includes a profile of Koch and his company, FilterTime.

In 2017, after two years with Kaulig Racing, Koch found himself without a seat or sponsorship for the following season. The 36-year-old then chose to step away from NASCAR after nine seasons, to build what is now known as FilterTime. After oneseason away, Koch announced intentions to return to racing with JD Motorsports, but ultimately decided to focus on the development of the company.

At least for the time being, Koch’s goal of winning in NASCAR has taken a spot on the backburner. Instead, he has found a way to remain in racing, while directing his attention to the long-term viability of FilterTIme.
