Morgan Alexander, a veteran dirt racer who made his ARCA Menards Series East Debut earlier this season, will now make his first-ever start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driving the No. 44 entry for Niece Motorsports in the Corn Belt 150 at Knoxville Raceway on July 9th.

Alexander, 24, made the announcement via his Facebook page in a post.

Alexander had been scheduled to race in Saturday’s ARCA Menards Series West event at Irwindale Speedway, but the addition of the Truck Series debut, has led to Alexander withdrawing from the ARCA West race.

If you’re looking for a dark horse pick to potentially pull off a surprise win at Knoxville, Alexander would be a good choice, as he has collected many trophies in the dirt racing ranks in dirt late models.

In his lone ARCA East start at Southern National Motorsports Park, Alexander finished 12th in the 16-car field after suffering electrical problems on lap 61 of the 200 laps race.
