It’s been tough sledding of late for the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing team getting through qualifying inspection. The trend continued Saturday at Kansas Speedway.

The No. 19 Toyota Camry failed in its first two attempts through the inspection station. The first time the car failed the laser body scan, the second time around the car failed due to rear toe.

The car did pass on the third try though, which means Truex will be allowed to start where he qualifies. Unfortunately, his car chief has been ejected and he will lose 15 minutes of practice time next week at Martinsville.
