Kyle Tilley – the defending Rolex 24 LMP2 Champion and an Asian LeMans Series Pro/Am Champion — will tackle a quadrant of NASCAR Cup Series events in the No. 78 Ford Mustang for Live Fast Motorsports this season.

The 33-year-old road racer will make his series debut later this month, when the NASCAR Cup Series heads to the infamous Circuit of The Americas road course in Austin, Texas for the first-time ever.

“To say that I’m excited would be an understatement. I have always been a big fan of NASCAR and the close racing it provides,” Tilley said in a team release. “To have an opportunity to go up against the best at COTA is going to be both a huge challenge and a learning curve, but one that I am really looking forward too.”

Tilley’s first adventure into NASCAR this summer, comes as an addition to an already intense racing schedule, with the Bath, England-native currently scheduled to compete in IMSA, the Asian LeMans Series and the European LeMans Series this season.

In addition to his Cup Series debut at Circuit of The Americas (May 23), Tilley will also compete in the No. 78 Ford Mustang at Road America (July 4), Watkins Glen (August 8) and Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s Road Course (August 15).

Battle Associates and Bremont Chronometers will join Tilley as the primary sponsors of the Live Fast Motorsports Mustang at COTA, marking both of the companies first experience of sponsorship in NASCAR.

“There are a lot of people to think, firstly team owners BJ McLeod and Matt Tifft for the faith they have shown in me, and my partners Battle Associates and Bremont Chronometers for coming onboard this weekend! I am honored to be part of Team Live Fast and am excited to see what we can do together.”

“Kyle Tilley is a force on the race,” said Vice-President of Battle Associates, Andrew Woodward. “His ability to win in everything from the LMP2 class to FIA Masters Historic Formula 1 proves he can deliver results in challenging and varied environments. These traits require a consistent work ethic and commitment to achieve, and we work hard to incorporate these same traits into the Battle brand every day.

“We are looking forward to the NASCAR Cup Series this season and can’t wait to see great moments from Kyle on the track. He has demonstratef all of the right attributes to represent our brand, and Battle Associates is honoring to be on Team Tilley!”
