For the first time since 2015, NASCAR Xfinity Series mainstay Justin Allgaier will make multiple starts in the NASCAR Cup Series, joining Spire Motorsports to pilot the No. 77 Brandt Fresh Agriculture Chevrolet Camaro at Talladega Superspeedway.

Allgaier’s first start this season for the organization came at Pocono after Justin Haley was involved in a vicious accident in the Xfinity Series event, leading to a decision to find a replacement driver. The 35-year-old was able to record a 25th-place finish.

Justin Haley, who has made the majority of starts in the Spire Motorsports No. 77 this season, is entered in the No. 16 Chevrolet Camaro for Kaulig Racing at Talladega, leaving the vacancy for Allgaier in the second race of the second round of the series’ playoffs.
