The 2021 driver lineup is beginning to become more clear for JR Motorsports, and sponsorship will be a key role for the team’s future.
Unilever, one of the world’s leading suppliers of food, refreshments, home and personal care products, will return to JR Motorsports for 2021 – entering the 13th year of the relationship.
The extension includes seven races spread across the JR Motorsports fleet of cars, including one race with owner Dale Earnhardt Jr back behind the wheel.
The deal is also expected to showcase multiple products of the Unilever family, such as Suave for Men and Hellman’s Mayonnaise.
“My partnership with Unilever has grown so much over the years, and I’m proud to say they’ve been a huge part of what we’ve built at JRM,” said Earnhardt Jr in a press release. “Unilever’s commitment to our team and the series has been unwavering, and we’re prepared to take that success even further.”
Unilever and JRM feature one of the longest running partnerships in the Xfinity Series, competing in more than 100 races together.
“We’re immensely appreciative of the relationship we’ve cultivated with Unilever,” said Kelley Earnhardt Miller, general manager of JR Motorsports. “Together, we’ve had the opportunity to do great things on and off the track, most recently focusing efforts toward Unilever’s United for America initiative.”
As far as which cars Unilever will feature its brands on, as well as which race Dale Jr. will participate in is to be announced at a later date. Earnhardt Jr. has expressed interest on multiple occasions to participate in an Xfinity Series race at the famed Martinsville Speedway.
