Johnny Sauter will roll from the pole in Friday night’s NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series Strat 200 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This pole award comes on the heels of his No. 13 team being on of four who were docked 10-points earlier in the day on Friday.

Sauter’s lap was 177.836 mph or 30.365 seconds.

This marks Sauter’s first pole of the 2020 season, and it is the eighth of his Truck Series career.

Sheldon Creed will line up alongside Sauter as he turned a lap just 0.033 sec. slower.

Kyle Busch will start in third, while Christian Eckes and Ty Majeski rounded out the five fastest qualifiers.

35 trucks were competing for 32 starting spots, which means three drivers had to go home. Missing the field for the Strat 200 were: Bayley Currey, Korbin Forrister and Jennifer Jo Cobb.
