Jimmie Johnson topped the charts in one of the most chaotic practice sessions in recent memory. Although Johnson topped the one-lap speed charts, the theme of the practice was latge packs of cars all around the track, trying to get a feel for what their cars would do in the dirty air for Sunday’s race.

Johnson (179.432MPH) edged out Clint Bowyer by a narrow margin to clinch the fastest time in the faster of the two NASCAR Cup Series practices.

Johnson, Bowyer, Almirola, Harvick, DiBenedetto, Chastain, Larson, Blaney, JH Nemechek & Bowman rounded out the top-ten.

Ross Chastain, driving the No. 6 for Roush Fenway Racing, in relief of Ryan Newman, was 6th in final practice, putting up a good lap for him and his No. 6 Ford Mustang Team.

Alex Bowman, Ross Chastain, Kyle Larson, Kurt Busch & Denny Hamlin were the top-five in the 20-Lap averages, proving that they will have strong cars in the long run on Sunday.

There were no incidents in the practice session, although there were many close calls throughout the session.
