Joe Nemechek – father of NASCAR Cup Series driver John Hunter Nemechek — will return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series for his eighth event of the season, when the series makes it’s never-before-seen second trip to Talladega Superspeedway on October 3rd.

Nemechek – who turns 57 years old on September 26th — will be piloting the No. 66 Toyota Supra for MBM Motorsports, marking his 453rd start in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, tying him for fifth on the all-time list with Morgan Shepherd.

In 21 starts at Talladega Superspeedway, Nemechek has visited victory lane on two occasions, while notching seven top-fives and nine top-tens during his NASCAR Xfinity Series tenure.

Nemechek will be looking to bring home MBM Motorsports’ first career victory, after Timmy Hill collected the first top-five finish for the team at Daytona International Speedway in February.
