Inspection Complete: William Byron Officially Scores Win at Atlanta

Post-race technical inspection following Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway has been completed.

William Byron’s race-winning No. 24 Liberty University Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro has passed. As a result, NASCAR has declared Byron and his team the official winners of the race.

This officially marks Byron’s first win of the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season and it is the third win of his NASCAR Cup Series career.

There were no issues in post-race inspection, which means all results and standings following Sunday’s race are now considered official.

Brad Keselowski’s No. 6 car and Chase Elliott’s No. 9 car will go to the NASCAR R&D center for further inspection.

Ross Chastain finished runner-up, while Kurt Busch, Daniel Suarez and Corey LaJoie rounded out the top-five finishers in the race.
