Post-race inspection following Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond Raceway has been completed.
Denny Hamlin’s race-winning No. 11 FedEx Express Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota Camry has passed. As a result, NASCAR has declared Hamlin and his team the official winners of the race.
This marks Hamlin’s first victory of the 2022 season, after what was a horrid start to the season, where he had no top-10 finishes in the opening six races of the year. Additionally, Sunday’s win was the 47th of Hamlin’s illustrious NASCAR Cup Series career.
No issues were detected in post-race inspection, which means all results and standings following Sunday’s race are now considered official.
The No. 19 car of Martin Truex Jr. and the No. 99 car of Daniel Suarez will go back to the NASCAR R&D Center for further inspection.
Kevin Harvick is the official runner-up finisher, while William Byron, Martin Truex Jr. and Kyle Larson rounded out the top-five finishers.
