Post-race technical inspection following Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway has been completed. Brad Keselowski’s race-winning No. 2 Ford Mustang has passed.

As a result, NASCAR has declared Keselowski as the official winner of the race.

Jimmie Johnson’s second-place No. 48 Chevrolet Camaro did not pass and he has been disqualified. According to NASCAR, Johnson’s car failed in the rear alignment.

Johnson will be credited with a 40th-place finish and has been stripped of Stage Points that he accumulated throughout the race.

Johnson’s crew chief Cliff Daniels posted a statement on the failure via Twitter Sunday night/Monday morning:

Chase Elliott has been elevated to a second-place finish.

No other issues were discovered in post-race inspection.
