There are 38 trucks on the preliminary entry list for Friday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
With up to 36 trucks permitted to start races in the Craftsman Truck Series, two drivers and teams will fail to make the show this week.
Kyle Busch, last week’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race winner at Dover Motor Speedway, was slated to return behind the wheel of the No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado with primary sponsorship from HendrickCars.com this week, but following hospitalization, Busch’s name was withdrawn from the race.
Tragically, Busch passed away at the age of 41 on Thursday, May 21. Corey Day will drive the No. 7 truck this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
