There are 37 cars on the entry list for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway, the eighth race of the 36-race NASCAR Cup Series season.

With up to 40 cars guaranteed a starting spot in the series, no drivers or teams will head home after qualifying this weekend.

Chase Elliott, who won the most recent NASCAR Cup Series event, the Cook Out 400 at Martinsville Speedway, returns this weekend as the driver of the No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet with primary sponsorship from NAPA Auto Parts.

Elliott will look to score back-to-back victories for the second time in his Cup Series career. The last time Elliott went back-to-back was at Martinsville and Phoenix in fall 2020, which led to a NASCAR Cup Series championship.

The lone “Open” entry this weekend is the No. 66 Garage 66 Ford Mustang Dark Horse, which will have journeyman racer Chad Finchum behind the wheel with Brian King Roofing serving as the sponsor for the entry.
