Rudy Fugle, who has been a prolific crew chief for Kyle Busch Motorsports for years, will be moving from the organization’s No. 51 truck to the No. 18 team for the 2020 season.

Fugle has recorded 28-total wins in Truck Series competition through his career as a crew chief and he has scored wins with six different drivers in the series over the last six seasons. Additionally, Fugle has been the crew chief for the Truck Series Owner Championship Winning team five times, and he has scored driver championships with Erik Jones and Christopher Bell in 2015 and 2017.

Drivers who have won with Fugle calling the shots from the box include: Kyle Busch (10), Erik Jones (4), William Byron (7), Christopher Bell (5), Noah Gragson (1) and Greg Biffle (1).

The team announced the move on Wednesday, and revealed their entire 2020 NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series crew chief lineup.

Mike Hillman Jr., a two-time Truck Series champion crew chief, will be on the box for Raphael Lessard and the No. 4 team, while Danny Stockman Jr. moves from Richard Childress Racing’s NASCAR Cup Series team to be the crew chief for the No. 51 truck.

Hillman was the crew chief for Harrison Burton and the No. 18 Truck Series team a season ago, which did not win a race but finished 12th in the championship standings.

Stockman has won championships in both the NASCAR Truck Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series in the past and he has nine wins as a crew chief between the two series.

The team also announced in a press release that Kyle Busch and Chandler Smith will drive portions of the season in the No. 51 truck with other drivers to be announced for the full-season No. 51 effort later.
