Tyler Reddick is out of Sunday’s Enjoy Illinois 300 at WWT Raceway, after a broke rotor exploded on his No. 45 Toyota Camry TRD.

After making an excellent rebound from a second-lap spin, Tyler Reddick will see his afternoon at World Wide Technology Raceway come to a premature end, leaving his 23XI Racing team to finish 34th.

Reddick, who was running inside the top-10 after taking two tires on a caution flag pit stop, suffered a problem similar to that of Carson Hocevar, when his right-front brake rotor exploded entering turn one.

The 23XI Racing driver then slammed the outside wall in turn one, causing significant damage to his No. 45 Toyota Camry TRD and knocking the California native out of Sunday’s Enjoy Illinois 300.

A yellow flag for cause sets up a restart in the final stage of Sunday’s 300-mile contest at Gateway, which could turn the late-stages of the event into a free-for-all.
