Kyle Larson utilized an incredible initial start to go from sixth-position to the lead in the opening lap of Saturday’s Heat 3 at Dirt Bristol.

WHAT IN THE WORLD?!

We know Kyle Larson is one of the most dominant drivers in the history of dirt racing, but what he did on lap one of Saturday’s Qualifying Heat Race No. 3 at Bristol Motor Speedway was incredible.

Starting from the sixth position, Larson got an amazing run on the outside lane, and scooted past every one of the competitors that were ahead of him. By the end of Lap 1, Larson took the lead of the heat race, which he would go on to win.

Here is Larson’s Lap 1 power move:

NASCAR also shared the on-board camera shot of Larson’s charge to the fron on Twitter.

Larson would score the Heat 3 win over Ryan Preece, and would collect 15 passing points in the process. Heading into Heat 4, that is the most passing points accumulated by any driver in the field, which would be good enough to secure him the pole for Sunday’s Food City Dirt Race, if nobody surpasses the total in Heat 4.
