Video: Kyle Busch Cuts Wrap Off Wrist Under Caution at Richmond

Kyle Busch has been driving with a wrap around his injured left wrist this weekend at Richmond Raceway, but it seems that the wrap became more uncomfortable than it was worth for Busch under a caution at Lap 232 in the Cook Out 400.

While on pit road, Busch asked for a set of scissors so that the driver of the No. 8 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 could cut the wrap off of his hand and wrist.

Busch was handed the pair of scissors during his pit stop, and as he returned to the track, Busch began cutting the wrap off while still piloting his car under the caution laps. Busch, who is scored a lap down, restarted around the 20th position.

On Saturday, Busch revealed that he suffered a severe wrist sprain in a late-race crash in the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Busch stated that had it not been for the two-week Olympic break, he likely would have had to miss some races as the injury was that bad.

But Busch said that he felt fine this weekend at Richmond and was good to go for the 400-lap Cook Out 400.
