Video: Issues For Justin Haley (15th) and Chris Buescher (17th) on Lap 76 at Nashville

Justin Haley was running an eye-opening 15th for the Spire Motorsports organization in the opening stage of Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway, but on lap 76,  Haley’s broke rotor exploded, sending him hard into the wall.

Chris Buescher, who was running two spots behind Haley in 17th, suffered the exact same fate as he hit the piece of rotor from Haley’s car which broke his rotor as well.

Obviously, it’s a bummer for both drivers, but for Buescher, the incident carries major playoff implications.

Buescher entered the race 14th in the NASCAR Cup Series championship standings, and aside from the season-opening Daytona 500, Buescher had been running at the end of every race this season. This will be his second DNF of the 2021 season.
