The rivalry that just won’t end had another chapter written coming to the final lap of Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series United Rentals Work United 500 at Phoenix Raceway as Denny Hamlin and Ross Chastain slammed into each other, ruining each other’s day.
The two drivers that were battling for a top-five finish on the overtime restart, ended up finishing 23rd and 24th respectively after a grinding crash into the outside wall in turns 3 and 4 with two laps remaining.
An on-board cam of Kevin Harvick’s view of the finish has surfaced on Twitter, which shows Hamlin washed high in turns 3 and 4 and collided with Chastain’s as the two skidded into the outside wall:

The Chastain and Hamlin feud is like an onion, it stinks for everyone involved, and there are so many layers. While it has looked many times over the last couple of seasons that the two drivers will finally put their anger with each other to bed, more incidents like this one continue to happen.
