Kyle Larson finally broke through for his first win of the NASCAR Cup Series season last weekend at World Wide Technology Raceway, a win that snapped a 51-race winless skid. A week later, Larson continues to enjoy the spoils from the win, as qualifying was washed out at Bristol Motor Speedway on Friday afternoon.

As a result, Larson, who had the best performance metric total, will start from the pole position in Saturday night’s Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol.

Joey Logano, the three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, will line up alongside Larson on Row 1, as he will start from the second position.

Denny Hamlin, William Byron, and Carson Hocevar made it a clean sweep of the top-five starting spots for Chase contenders, while Alex Bowman, in sixth, will be the highest-starting non-Chase driver on Saturday night.

Ross Chastain will start seventh, followed by Austin Cindric (Chase contender), Austin Dillon, and Bubba Wallace (Chase contender).

Chase contenders starting outside the top-10 include: Christopher Bell (12th), Ty Gibbs (13th), Ryan Preece (16th), Tyler Reddick (20th), Chris Buescher (23rd), Chase Briscoe (26th), Chase Elliott (27th), Daniel Suarez (28th), and Ryan Blaney (29th).

In addition to NASCAR Cup Series qualifying, practice was also washed out on Friday afternoon, which means teams will not know how their cars will handle until their first laps on the track, which will take place in Saturday night’s race.
