Video: Busch Wipes Out Stenhouse on Lap 2; Stenhouse Parks in Busch’s Pit Stall

Well, that’s a wild start to the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series All-Star Race.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was sent hard into the outside wall on Lap 2 by Kyle Busch, who appeared to be frustrated after contact with Stenhouse on Lap 1 of the race, which resulted in Busch going into the outside wall.

Upon further review of the replay angles, it appeared that Stenhouse didn’t do much wrong as he was held his line in the Lap 1 incident. Regardless, Busch wiped out Stenhouse a lap later.

After the crash, Stenhouse parked his destroyed No. 47 JTG Daugherty Racing Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in Busch’s pit stall. Stenhouse climbed from his car, climbed up the No. 8 pit box, and gave Busch’s team an ear full.

After being checked and released from the infield care center, Stenhouse explained that he told Busch’s crew chief that with no tunnel at North Wilkesboro, Stenhouse will be waiting to talk to Busch after the race is over.

“First, I parked it there because I figured Kyle would do something similar. Just told Randall he could tell Kyle that I’ll see him afterwards over the radio since there’s not tunnel here, I can’t leave,” Stenhouse explained. “So, I’ll be here when the race is over.”
