Video: Bubba Wallace Reacts to FBI’s Findings in Noose Investigation

On Sunday at Talladega Superspeedway, one of Bubba Wallace’s crew members discovered a noose tied on the end of a garage pull rope in their garage stall.

Wallace, the only African-American driver on the NASCAR Cup Series circuit, has received threats and disparaging words on social media since leading a charge for NASCAR to ban the confederate flag. As a result, the sanctioning body was already on high alert for Wallace’s safety.

When the noose was discovered, NASCAR felt the need to act swiftly and efficiently, so they called the FBI in to investigate.

In the end, the noose had actually been tied on the end of the garage pull rope as early as October, 2019 based on photographic evidence. Still, Wallace, in a nearly seven minute interview with CNN’s Don Lemon on Tuesday, wondered why the noose was tied in the first place.
