For the second-time in NASCAR’s inaugural weekend at Circuit of The Americas, the 3.41-mile road course has produced a first-time polesitter, with Tyler Reddick piloting his No. 8 Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen Chevrolet Camaro to the top of the charts in Sunday Morning’s qualifying session, earning the first pole for car owner Richard Childress since Kansas in 2019 and the first on a road course since Watkins Glen in 1996.

Reddick posted the fastest lap time of the weekend to this point, putting down a lap of 132.911 (2:12.911) to claim the top spot, with Kyle Larson sitting exactly one tenth of a second behind in second-place. Austin Cindric will start from the third position – in his fifth NASCAR Cup Series start — with Kyle Busch and William Byron rounding out the top-five. Joey Logano, AJ Allmendinger, Chase Elliott, Ryan Blaney, Christopher Bell, Kevin Harvick and Alex Bowman rounded out the cars that advanced to the final round.

Other noteables in the qualifying session included: Kurt Busch (13th), Austin Dillon (16th), Martin Truex Jr (17th), Bubba Wallace (18th), Denny Hamlin (19th), Matt DiBenedetto (21st), Michael McDowell (23rd), Brad Keselowski (24th), Aric Almirola (26th), Chase Briscoe (27th), Ryan Newman (34th), Ryan Preece (36th), Anthony Alfredo (37th) and Kyle Tilley (39th).

With only 40 cars entered in Sunday’s EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix at Circuit of The Americas, nobody was sent home and all 40 drivers will start the event this afternoon.
