Live Fast Motorsports revealed their primary sponsorship and paint scheme for this weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 400 at Martinsville Speedway, and it’s a touching partnership in the Epilepsy Foundation.
For those unaware, Live Fast Motorsports’ co-owner Matt Tifft was a race car driver in his own right, making it to the NASCAR Cup Series for his rookie campaign in 2019. It was at Martinsville in the fall of 2019, when Tifft began experiencing seizures, which would force him from the car that weekend and he has not raced since. Tifft was later diagnosed with epilepsy.
Now, three years later, Tifft has a special connection to the new sponsorship partner on the car he owns.
“Having the Epilepsy Foundation represented across Live Fast Motorsport’s No. 78 at Martinsville Speedway signifies a great statement of progression for both the Foundation and I,” said Tifft in a team release. “Running this special scheme on the exact track that my story once unfolded at shows great power in personal perseverance and testifies to the ongoing and improving scientific advancements available today. The Live Fast Motorsports team & I are proud to represent the Epilepsy Foundation at Martinsville and hope it serves as a great testimony of awareness, acceptance, and hope in the community.”
The Epilepsy Foundation will look to use their NASCAR sponsorship partnership to further serving the epilepsy community by spreading awareness to the condition.

McLeod, 38, has four top-30 finishes in six NASCAR Cup Series starts this season for the young Live Fast Motorsports team. The driver’s top finish this season was a 19th-place effort at Atlanta Motor Speedway. McLeod has also recorded no on-track incidents this season, a year where the new Next Gen car has proven to be hard to handle for drivers.
