The television numbers are in following Sunday’s AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway, and for the first time in several weeks the viewership for the race trended down from the 2018 season.

Sunday’s race generated 2.22-million viewers, which was down from the 2.29-million that last year’s edition was able to record.

Overall, NBC Sports is showing a four-percent gain in viewership for the year, so unless something totally weird happens, they should end the 2019 season in the green.
