Gray Gaulding, who had a great 2019 campaign in the NASCAR Xfinity Series while driving for SS Green Light Racing, has finally found a landing place in 2020.

TobyChristie.com has learned, through an anonymous source, that Gaulding will have sponsorship from Panini Trading Cards to run two races beginning with next week’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Darlington Raceway on Wednesday, May 20th as well as the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday, May 24th.

Gaulding will drive the No. 27 Ford Mustang entry (pictured above) for Rick Ware Racing.

It appears that the No. 27 entry will take over for the No. 52 entry at RWR, as an updated entry list for this Sunday’s race at Darlington, shows JJ Yeley driving the No. 27 for RWR instead of the No. 52, which is now not listed.

According to the source, Gaulding’s deal is scheduled to be announced officially on Wednesday.

Panini Trading Cards, of course, already had a relationship with Gaulding as they sponsored the 22-year old driver in 10 Xfinity Series races a season ago, including his runner-up finish at Talladega in the spring.

Gaulding, a native of Virginia, is expected to announce further plans for the 2020 season on Wednesday in an exclusive chat with a select group of his fans.

Through his career, Gaulding has 50 NASCAR Cup Series starts. His best career finish to date was a ninth place run at Talladega in the fall of 2017.
